In light of the leg injury to Ryan Ready... Stevens said Mark Murphy would replace Ready in the lineup, and that either he or Josh Gratton would play with Sharp and Jeff Carter on the top line.

Here's hoping it's Gratton. I would love to see what that line could do. Also very glad that it's Murphy getting the call and not Voce. It'll be great to have him back in the lineup.

i'm so excited. i've never been to a Phantoms game and i haven't been to a Flyers game since....well since they played at the Spectrum....and back when the Washington Capitals were actually decent. gosh!

but i realize that chances to see a live professional hockey game were winding down and that seeing one of these three (possibly two!) remaining Phantoms games would be my only choice.

so i finally went ahead and ordered my tickets. i got great seats too. $28.55 after all the service/convenient charges. i'm in section 111 (which looks to be halfway between the blue line and the goal) and best yet, i'm in row 2, right off the ice!

i really wish i could go to the game on Friday, especially is a sweep is on the horizon. but alas, i work at a bar and getting off on a Friday night is virtually impossible :(

Injuries Jun. 3rd, 2005 @ 07:44 am

I stand corrected. (And blame the other team's announcers.) Pitkanen hurt his hip and didn't return afterwards. Slaney took a high stick, left, then came back later stitched up. Jones also took a high stick, but he went off and didn't return. Meloche is apparently suffering from an ankle injury, but as of Tuesday wasn't, so he must have been misdiagnosed, hurt it Wednesday at practice, or the team is lying. Who knows in the playoffs.

Phantoms win 1-0. Goal by Richards from Sim and Seidenberg. Pitkanen and Slaney both went out with injuries. Not sure what's wrong with Joni, but Slaney apparently did something to his shoulder. I think we can thank Niittymaki, Seidenberg, and Meyer for this one.

» Erm well... hello.
Well hey there. I'm Katee, a PA native. I am thirteen years old and I absolutely love the Phantoms and Flyers. I have loved them both since I can remember. My favorite players on the Phantoms are Josh Gratton, Patrick Sharp, Ben Eager, Dennis Seidenberg, Freddy Meyer, and Neil Little. Sure, I love them all, but they are my favorites. Umm I am pretty approachable. Talk to me any time. I love music, such as Aerosmith, Queen, Green Day, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, and Bowling for Soup. xD.

anyone know if there are any special deals anywhere for purchasing tickets to the Phantoms Calder Cup games? like i know during the regular season they were doing that crazy get 4 tickets, 4 hotdogs, 4 soda's and 4 coupons to Chik-Fil-E for like $48 or something.

i've actually never been to a Phantoms game. i hear they are more ummm...family oriented than say a Flyers game. is that the case? even during the championships. i sure hope not!

So yeah... If you weren't at Game 5 vs. WBS... You missed a hell of a game. The guys were amazing. Completely and utterly amazing. Mind you, that was not until there was ten minutes left in the third period, but atleast they turned it on!!

6 goals in 10 minutes! I had no idea that was possible. And yeah, it all started with Josh's. His excitement over it lifted the team. And then the sparks just started to fly, and they looked like the Phantoms that had won the 17 games in a row. I've missed them a lot lately. There are no words to describe those final minutes. The crowd was on their feet, and it was insanity.

Next up... Providence....:)
