Lovely article about the Phantoms. Not very cheerful, but maybe after Sunday and the recent roster changes, they're going to start to turn this around.

Phantoms injury news you can't find anywhere else!

- Freddy Meyer is back. Returned from Flyers and skating without the red cross.
- Eric Meloche has a sprained ankle and wasn't skating, but should be back soon, per Riley Cote.
- Ryan Ready and Eric Chouinard are skating with the team, but are not to be hit. No idea what's up with Eric.
- Tony Voce had surgery on his hand and is out for a while. Didn't get a specific time frame.
- Josh Gratton has some sort of eye problem which is requiring him to wear a tinted visor until they get him drops. (It's Gratts, and that's the only info we got. I was amazed he knew that much.)
- Randy Jones had abdominal surgery and is out 5-6 weeks.

Always looking for a silver lining, Flyers coach Ken Hitchcock thought he had doged a bullet last week when he noted that even though 3 prominent players _ Peter Forsberg, Derian Hatcher and Sami Kapanen _ were injured, none of their injuries came in training camp.
Well, now he has one.
Defenseman Freddy Meyer, who was going to see additional playing time in pre-season because of Hatcher`s status, broke his right fibula in Saturday`s exhibition game against Atlanta and will miss 6-8 weeks.
The good news? Hatcher skated today and might play in pre-season. Peter Forsberg (bursa sac/right ankle) said he felt good and is to be re-evaluated this weekend as to whether he can begin skating next week.

The Orange team (Team Niittymaki) beat the Black team (Team Esche) by a score of 5-3. (And for the life of me, I can't remember who scored when right now. I know, I suck. Anyone who was there, feel free to jump in on that.)

The celebration last night was awesome. I hope you all went, if not, you suck.
They still should have had a parade. The only team in philly to actually make it in the finals and not choke.

To contain my excitement, I had to make a crapload of icon/bases. All Phantoms related, of course. I know it's late, but how can any Phantoms fan actually sleep?!

Great game last night. I'll be there again tomorrow night. I may even make the pregame rally this time around...

Was anyone else from LiveJournal at the Chickie's and Pete's pep rally Tuesday? It was a small but fun crowd. Even netted myself some cool stuff for answering a trivia question :-)

Hope to see y'all tomorrow! LET'S GO PHANTOMS!
